Martin Hall has been speaking this week about Hornets' 100% start to
the campaign - and is looking ahead to the big clash with the Biffs
on Sunday. Quoted in the Rochdale Observer he said, "We've got six points
which is what we aimed for before the start of the season."
"Without playing particularly well we've won again (against Swinton).
But for the third game running we made it hard."
Despite fans' disappointment that his side's not yet hit its stride
he went on, "There were some positives out of it with the attack, which
was a little bit better than it has been. But our defence wasn't up to
scratch".
But he's ready to put the Swinton game behind him and get on with the
serious business of Sunday's encounter. "We've got the two points and I'm
looking forward to another derby against Oldham next week"
"I prefer us to be playing to the best of our ability at the end of
the season rather than at the start. Hopefully we can go from strength
to strength. We need to. We're not playing well at the moment - and there's
no better time to start than this week. We must make sure we prepare correctly
and put in a strong performance against Oldham."
More than many, Hally appreciates the intensity of the Hornets-Oldham
derby and knows that this weekend it'll be no different
"It's always a tough encounter" he concluded. "I'll expect that."
