It feels unusual going into a new season full of hope and expectation - not very Hornetsian at all. One piece of silverware in the bag already, and more to come? On paper at least, this should be a nice easy start for us. "Give us a B, give us an A, give us an L, ... Balti!".

Hornets have retained the bulk of last season's phenomenal side - and strengthened it. Batley have added 18 new players to a squad that was workmanlike, but ordinary last season. This one's only going one way. And if you're a Batley fan, it's not your way.
