Looks like Uncle Maurice is showing more than his usual avuncular interest in Danny Sculthorpe.

Today's Independent reports that 'Wigan will decide this week whether to make a bid for the Rochdale prop (note: no 'Hornets') Danny Sculthorpe, younger brother of Great Britain's Paul and one of the stars of the recent England U21 tour of South Africa."

Let's hope Maurice's piggy bank's a little better fed than London's, who had a derisory £30k offer turned down last week. Also reported to have shown interest are St. Helens, Leeds, Salford and Halifax.

That'll be the same Halifax that's been given extra time to pay off their six figure Inland Revenue debt, so we can assume that their interest in Danny is over given that he's probably a teensy bit out of their price bracket.
