Oldham still destined for 'Park' footy?
After being refused permission to play their enforced 'on the road' games at Manor Park, Oldham are now trying to arrange for Sunday week 's game against Hornets to be played at Sedgley Park RU Club in Prestwich.
Currently home to Swinton, the Lions have an away game on the day Oldham want to play there. “There is nothing definite yet,” said Chris Hamilton, “but we are hoping to sort something out with them."
“There are a lot of things in its favour. Fans know the ground, it isn’t too far away and it is used regularly for rugby league, so there are no concerns about minimum standards."
“We are talking to Sedgley Park and waiting for them to get back to us.”
Oldham have already played there once this season – they were beaten 46-14 by Swinton in the Northern Rail Cup in February.
