I received a phone call only twenty minutes ago and,as yet, have no details.

Paul's passing will impact on everyone at the club. His love of Rochdale Hornets was there for everyone to see and his hard work and tenacious attitude will be sorely missed.

I've known Paul since he ran the Hornets Under 15's side I played in the 80's - and I always found him to be passionate about his club and the game in general: characteristics he passed on to his son and his grandson.

We will report more news when we have it - and our thoughts are with Paul's family.
