Ian Watson was considered 'doubtful' midweek after he damaged a shoulder in last week's win against Hull KR at Boundary Park. The club was scheduled to give it 48 hours to 'settle down' prior to a reassessment later in the week.

Right winger Will Cowell looks to be out for the season, having dislocated his left shoulder against Hull KR - only his second game back after a seven-match absence with a similar injury to his right shoulder. Left-winger Nick Johnson is doubtful with a pulled hamstring.

Prop Paul Southern is already ruled out, having broken down last week with a recurrence of groin trouble, while Molloy is rehabilitating from a persistent shoulder injury.

Lee Doran has been having treatment all week for a damaged knee; Iain Marsh was said to have a 50-50 chance of overcoming an ankle injury in time to play.

Simon Svabic is likely to be out for a few weeks with knee trouble – he is lined up to see a specialist - while Dane Morgan has been playing with a damaged ankle.

Freak injury of the week came courtesy of Jon Roper - he dropped an empty beer keg on his own head and has been advised to rest.

Most interesting omission from the Oldham side will be goalkicking full-back PAT RICH, who quit the club again 14 games into his second spell. Promotion at work has seen him transferred to London and he has opted to concentrate on his career as a solicitor.

19-year-old rookie props Adam Sharples and Danny Nanyn are in line to play instead of Molloy and Southern; Iain Marsh is said to have a 50-50 chance of overcoming his ankle injury in time to play and Gavin Dodd looks likely to fill one of the troublesome threequarter slots.

Bobbie Goulding has something of an opposite problem. With our 'weakened' team performing so fantastically at Leigh last week, who does he replace?

Darren Shaw, Dave Cunliffe, Mark McCully, Dave Alstead, Andy Saywell, Rob Ball, Richard Varkulis, and Goulding himself are all available for selection against Oldham. What a headache to have!

Whoever makes the cut, last week's result tees up the rest of the season nicely. Having flogged both Arriva Trains Cup finalists in the space of three weeks, Hornets now have nothing to fear and nothing to lose. Indeed, five consecutive home games give us a perfect platform for securing our place in NL1. But - as Darren Abram found out last week - there's no place for complacency, particularly against a weakened team.

Whichever 17 don the jersey on Sunday, we know that we'll get 110% - and no-one knows better than those who made the trip to Hilton Park, that this side deserves the best support we can give them.
