Thanks very much to all those who came to the quiz night on Wednesday. It was
an 'intimate' gathering, but we still managed to raise a quite astonishing
£240 for Nest Egg funds.
The quiz was won by Peter Walker's team (courtesy of Mick's knowledge of bad
70's TV and Rachel's worrying knowledge of Spice Girls no. 1's). So congrats
to them.
The auction items went very well: Paul Sculthorpe's England training jersey
went for £60, the Hornets team jersey for £55 and the signed Hornets
matchball for £35 - thanks to all who bidded.
Other thanks: Mick Foster for donating a bottle of scotch for the raffle and
Dave, Sue & the stadium Bar Staff for taking care of us as usual.
A very big thanks goes to all the Nest Egg members who sold programmes and
Golden Gamble tickets at the ATC final last week. They gave their
commissions back to be donated to the Matt King fund and I'll be sending a
cheque for £134 in the next few days.
