They think it's Hall over
... it is now.
From the end of November, Martin Hall will no longer be coach
of Rochdale Hornets
Speculation as to Hally's future has been ended this morning in a statement
made on totalrl.com.
The article says:
"Hall and his consortium had put a proposal to the Rochdale board, but,
according to the current NL1 Coach of the Year, it has not been accepted.
The consortium had set a deadline over the weekend, but withdrew their
offer
after it was not met.
Hall's contract as coach expires at the end of November, and the former
Wigan and Wales hooker has confirmed he will not be continuing.
"My contract finishes any day now and I will not be carrying on."
Having guided Hornets to three consecutive third-place finishes and
won this year's Coach of the Year, it seems that the inability to agree
on the terms of the takeover has led to Martin's decision.
Hot on the heels of the current financial situation, this decision looks
set to leave the club and its supporters reeling.
