The Rochdale Observer has confirmed that chief executive Paul Reynolds has stepped down after seven years in the post. He is handing over to Steve Walmsley. Mr Reynolds is confident that Steve (who joins the club from Preston North End, where he was promotions manager) is the best in the business.

Mr Walmsley, who has worked for both Hornets and Rochdale Football Club in the past, is delighted to be back in rugby league among what he describes as real people.
