... and now for the good news.
Hornets land major sponsorship deal.
In the wake of Sunday’s on-field disaster, it’s good to see that Hornets’
General Manager Liam O’Reilly is playing a blinder, announcing the confirmation
of a new major sponsorship partnership with Humberside communications giants
Kingston.
The deal, which will run initially until the end of 2002, sees Kingston
Communications named as Hornets’ exclusive Man of the Match Sponsors for
the rest of the season.
Liam told us, “We have been in discussions with Kingston Inbusiness
the newly formed national business services division of the Kingston
Group - for a number of weeks and we are delighted to conclude a major
commercial deal with them. As well as investing several thousand
pounds, Kingston have proactive ideas around developing their link with
Hornets and we are very excited about taking the partnership forward.”
And Darren Johnston, Accounts manager for Kingston Inbusiness knows
potential when he sees it: “We have been immensely impressed with the professionalism
of the club,” he said, “The team, the facilities and the approach
to business development are of a very high standard - we are proud
to be associated with that. We have also been impressed by the community
development structures the club are formulating and hope to become a partner
in these areas as they unfold.”
If Kingston feel that their involvement can help enhance Hornets’ business
and community developments to the benefit of both parties then rochdalehornets.com is glad that they’re
on board.
