Hornets' coach Martin Hall has urged his side to be professional.
In Saturday's Observer he went on to say "We need to put a good performance in following a good performance last week, and get some consistency," he said. "We've only lost one game so far, so we must be doing something right, but we aren't playing as well as we would like.
"We played better last week, but we need to keep improving week by week. And we need to get the crowd behind us to give us the encouragement we need."
He added: "Gateshead gave Hull KR a game last week, and kept it close, so we shouldn't underestimate them. I would imagine they will be very committed and have lots of enthusiasm.
"They've got two or three players who they've brought in from various SuperLeague clubs. The main thing is for us to play well and get two more points to take us forward in the league."
