Speaking to the Rochdale Observer Martin Hall believes his strong, versatile squad, will stand him in good stead this season."We've got a good squad, and you need that - especially when you've got injuries," Hall said.
"Brendan O'Meara will get his results back from tests on his neck and shoulder problem this week. He's missed the last two games, and Marlon Billy is going to be out for a while. That's a blow, but we've got a good squad so someone will get the opportunity to come in.
"Casey Mayberry has figured in every game this season in various positions and he has now gone on the wing," he added. "Marlon Miller suffered a nasty injury last season but he is back to full fitness now and has a few A-team games under his belt. And we've also got Wayne McHugh and Sean Cooper to think about."
Hall said he was delighted with Workington result.
"Workington hadn't been beaten at home in the league before Sunday so to win there was very pleasing," he said. "I thought the lads put in a great performance."
He added: "We've had indifferent performances for one reason or another. Our handling was certainly a lot better at Workington.
"We squandered one or two chances but we defended exceptionally well, probably as well as we have done all year - and against one of the best halfback pairings in the league. We only conceded one try and that's something I'd be happy to do every week.
