Teamtalk have this to say ....Former Wigan prop Neil Cowie has ruled out a return to playing action after being sounded out by several Super League clubs about a comeback.
Cowie, now 35, retired at the end of last season following the defeat by Bradford Bulls in the Super League Grand Final. And he has dismissed ideas that he may be about to relace his boots for another year.
"I went out at the top and that is the way that I would like to be remembered," he said.
Cowie has been linked with a number of clubs, including Widnes, Castleford and Wakefield, as well as his first professional club Rochdale.
Cowie began his career with The Hornets before signing for Wigan in 1991, and was followed to Central Park by current Rochdale coach Martin Hall a few years later.
Cowie added: "I don't want to join a lower club to hold anyone back. I got my chance because there weren't two 35-year-old props in the way."
The former Wales international is now concentrating on a career in property development and has a cafe bar in Wigan which he jointly owns with Warriors full-back Kris Radlinski.
