Hornets Set For Match Day Spectacular!
Rochdale Hornets have linked up Bradford Bulls Match day Entertainment Supremo Dave King to offer Supporters a match day to remember in their forthcoming Kellogg’s Nutri-Grain Challenge Cup 4th Round Tie at Spotland, Sunday 10 February 2002.
Hornets and Leigh are both unbeaten in the Northern Ford Premiership, and recently fought out a thrilling 14-14 draw at Hilton Park. Now two of the main Super League Promotion rivals will meet face to face in one of the ties of the round .
“This is a special occasion for both clubs, and a real opportunity for us to demonstrate our Super League credentials, both with the performance on the field and the way we present the occasion for the fans and sponsors. The Challenge Cup is one of the proudest parts of English Sporting Heritage, and with Kellogg’s Nutri-Grain sponsoring the competition for the first time, we are keen to demonstrate to them just how vibrant Rugby League is from the Premiership upwards.” Commented Hornets General Manager Liam O’Reilly.
The match day presentation will begin at 2.00pm with professional dancers, and a superb live show of music, singing and dance.
“The Match day experience at Bradford Bulls is legendary in Rugby League and we are delighted that Dave and his team will be presenting the show. This should help stimulate the people of Rochdale and Leigh to support their teams and the day in even greater numbers” added O’Reilly
Commenting on the day Dave King said:
“The ambition of these two sides is clear to see, and if anybody has not sampled the facilities at Spotland – I guarantee they are second to none. This game deserves to be built up as a leading tie in the round, and I promise for our part the pre-match show will not be one to miss!”
