Ray's 'Taylor-made' for Rugby League's top job
Hornets' Chairman Ray Taylor has been appointed as the new president
of the Rugby Football League.
Quoted in today's press Ray says, "I'm honoured and delighted to have
been given this role - I see it as an honour for the club as well."
Since becoming chairman of our club in 1995, Ray has overseen Hornets'
transformation from also-rans to genuine contenders - and his tenure as
RFL president looks set to see major changes within the game as it moves
towards unification of the governing bodies and a restructuring of the
administration tier.
But Ray's up for the task: "You can rest assured that whatever the job
requires I will be doing it with great dedication and pride."
