York Club Record to go on Sunday?
York Wasps must really hate Hornets. Last season's 98-0 defeat was a club record loss - and this season, we could well impose another unwanted record on them.
York Wasps' defeat against Hull Kingston Rovers last Sunday equalled the club record of 24 straight defeats set when they lost the last thirteen matches of the 1949-50 season and the first eleven matches of the 1950-51 season.
Last week's 8-22 scoreline brought the number of defeats this season to five which, when added to the straight nineteen at the back end of last season, puts the Wasps on the brink of their worst run ever.
