Sunday's coming

Very Latest : Key Workington players Tane Maneheira (stand-off) and hooker Carl Sice are expected to be missing for their trip to Spotland.

It seems a long way from that opening day trip to Workington. Hornets have transformed our season and Town have lately staged a serious charge for a top-four finish with nine wins from their last twelve games. While we took a breather last weekend, Town were busy squeezing past a fast-fading Dewsbury. As expected, everything revolved around five-eighth Tane Maneheira and his half back duel with Danny Wood (left) should make for an interesting afternoon. Up front, Hitro Okesene is the one to watch - just be grateful he's not quite as good as his brother. According to reports, his bruising 80 minute performance was a major factor in beating the Rams, so we'll have to be ready for a repeat performance. Also in the Town line up should be Fata Sini and Lokeni Sovelio, completeing west Cumbria's impressive South Pacific enclave.

It's likely that Hornets' only doubt will be David Stephenson, but our forward power will be boosted by the inclusion of itinerant ex-Doncaster, ex-Keighley prop Joe Berry. Martin Hall will be keen to re-establish the momentum built up prior to our week off and with our run-in weighted with home games, it's important that we capitalise on our advantage.

Ray Taylor's gone on the record this week saying that Hornets' brand of Rugby league deserves better crowd. This Sunday's game throws together two in-form sides with top four intentions. So bring a mate, it'll be another cracker.
